Adam Kinzinger in Meet the Press interviews for 2022 races

On Principles & Values: People are being financially & emotionally abused by leaders

The last year has taught me that there are people that live in a totally different reality. All you can do, all I can do, is tell the truth and talk about the abuse because I think if people wake up to the fact that they are actually being financially and emotionally abused by leaders, maybe that'll be enough to awaken this giant, this change. But I'm going to tell you, if there's nothing to interdict this cycle in five or ten years, we're in trouble.

On Principles & Values: Both parties going to extremes instead of serving country

In the best-case scenario, each party challenges the other to do better, to be better, where iron sharpens iron. If you have one party plumbing the depths and the other just uses that as an excuse to go more to an extreme, to go more away from any sort of governing consensus and towards trying to enact whatever the will of the most extreme constituency they have is that is a recipe for both parties to drive further away from anything that resembles serving the American people as a whole.
