Chuck Morse in 2022 NH Senate race

On Abortion: Backs restrictive abortion ban; I'm a pro-life Republican

Republicans wrote a ban on abortions after 24 weeks that requires mandatory ultrasounds before a pregnancy is terminated. The language in the budget made no exception for rape or incest, or for fetal viability, and included criminal and civil penalties-- including prison sentences--for health care providers who conduct abortions after 24 weeks. Morse made no apologies. "I'm a pro-life Republican. I always have been," Morse said. Morse said the ban was "what the people of New Hampshire wanted.

On Education: Teach ABC's in school, not Critical Race Theory

Morse said Republicans are fighting for personal freedoms. He said wearing a mask in school amid the coronavirus pandemic should be a discussion between parents and kids. He also said he will work to keep critical race theory out of schools. "We want our students to learn ABCs, not CRTs," Morse said.

On Government Reform: New Hampshire runs the best elections in the country

[On election integrity in the presidential election]: "You can tell that by the way that the voters come out and vote and I'm proud of the way we run elections in New Hampshire," Morse said. Asked what he would say to the former president and his many supporters who doubt the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election, Morse answered, "I'm very clear that New Hampshire runs the best elections in the country and I would tell him that."

On Gun Control: New Hampshire is among safest states due to 2nd Amendment

[On gun violence]: "I fully support the state's efforts joining the legal case against Maryland's egregious and unconstitutional prohibition on the Second Amendment. New Hampshire is consistently ranked among the safest states in the nation due to our pro-Second Amendment protections, and it's far beyond time to take that same approach to Washington. By protecting our right to bear arms the 603 way, not the Washington DC way, we've created safer communities and neighborhoods for all Granite Staters."

On Immigration: Secure & defend border against crime, drugs, terror threats

[On the Mexican border]: "Maggie Hassan's silence while Joe Biden and the Democrats rip a brand new hole in our southern border is outrageous," said Morse. "We need to get serious on securing and defending our border--the crime, drugs, and terror threats that have entered our country under Hassan's watch are inexcusable. When I'm in the U.S Senate we'll secure our border and put America First policies back in place."

On Tax Reform: I'll take New Hampshire record of lower taxes to Washington

[On income taxes and corporate taxes]: "Our track record in New Hampshire of lowering taxes and getting out of businesses is a blueprint that we should take to Washington and that's what I intend to do and obviously I've proved that it works here in the state," Morse said, pointing to his years of experience as a key architect of the state budgets.
