"We will build a Nationwide Law enforcement coalition to end the assault of police enforcement and restore Law and order by defeating Chuck Schumer," he added.
The New York State Rifle & Pistol Association is the state's largest and nation's oldest firearms advocacy organization. Since 1871, the organization has been dedicated to the preservation of Second Amendment rights, firearm safety, education and training, and the shooting sports. They are the official NRA-affiliated State Association in New York."
"I think that's what you see here today, a lot of people gathered peacefully, to pray together, to commiserate together, and to talk about what they can do, when they can, and where they can to have a positive impact on their society," said Joe Pinion.
Mr. Pinion warms up when he steers our conversation toward the numbers that actually reflect reality for New Yorkers--what he describes as an untold story of pain and suffering. Sixty percent of children are not proficient in school. The city of Rochester, New York, has a per capita murder rate that is higher than Chicago's. Syracuse, New York, has the highest child poverty rate in the nation among cities with populations of more than 100,000.
The things that really matter to New York voters, Mr. Pinion says, are crime, children who can't read, the cost of gas, the cost of a rotisserie chicken, heating bills.
