On Abortion:
Signed bill codifying abortion protections
Raimondo has signed a bill codifying abortion protections. The bill "codifies what has been the status quo under Roe v. Wade for nearly five decades,"
Raimondo said. "It protects a woman's access to reproductive health care here in Rhode Island at a time when that access is under threat at the federal level and in states across our country."

On Civil Rights:
Signed Pride Month proclamation, defying local bishop
Raimondo joined the backlash against Roman Catholic Bishop Thomas J. Tobin's call for members of his flock to stay away from events celebrating the state's LGBTQ community."I think his tweet was unfortunate and made people here feel sad,"
Raimondo told reporters after signing a "Pride Month" proclamation at the State House. "They feel it was offensive and sad and they were made to feel like second-class citizens and no one should be made to feel that way."

On Homeland Security:
Close deficit, boost budget of RI Veterans Home
Raimondo has announced plans to bolster the Rhode Island Veterans Home in her tax and spending plan for this fiscal year. The plan would close the $2 million deficit in fiscal year 2020 and increase funding next year,

On Immigration:
Driver's licenses for DREAMers, pathway for citizenship
Raimondo signed legislation giving all children of illegal immigrants the right to obtain driver's licenses once they've reached 16 years old. Her stance on the licenses, she said, is evocative of a broader willingness to take a stand against the
Trump administration's immigration policymaking that she says is immoral and inhumane. Raimondo said the government must provide a pathway to citizenship for people whose parents brought them into the country when they were children.

[On COVID]: "I want to speak directly to Rhode Island's immigrant community. We want you to be safe and we want you to come forward, get tested and get healthcare," said Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo during her daily press briefing. "None of the
information that we take from you will ever get into the hands of an immigration authority. There are no immigration officials at any of these testing sites, even though they look official and there are people in uniforms."

OpEd: Raimondo wants tax increases
It's the week before Christmas and Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo is imitating the Grinch--but instead of stealing Christmas, she's headed straight for your wallets. In an interview with the Providence Journal
