The budget must be balanced; wasteful spending must be cut
The single biggest threat to our national security is the ever-increasing national debt. We are in crisis, yet Congress continues to push us further into debt, harming the lives of future generations. The threat of the Federal government
temporarily "closing down" will not deter me from refusing to vote us into further debt and future misery. The budget must be balanced. Wasteful spending must be cut. Long term obligations like Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare must be reformed.

Supports abolishing the federal Department of Education
The more education is locally controlled and provided, the better it is for children and families. Educational choice is imperative for families to give their children the best possible education. The federal government has no place in education.
All restrictions and barriers that make it more difficult for families should be removed. I will also support abolishing the federal Department of Education, while block-granting funds at a per-pupil cost to each state over a 10-year phase out period.

We must stop subsidizing "clean" and alternative fuels
We must stop subsidizing "clean" and alternative fuels. All of us who are reliant on fuel. and electricity are being forced to pay subsidies through our tax dollars for forms of energy that still cost us even more as consumers.
If and when these sources of energy are reliable and affordable, people will choose them on their own.
By inserting the meddling hand of the federal government, energy efficiency mandates harm the economy, and disturb the self-regulation of the free market. I will oppose excessive regulations and pointless roadblocks against our
critical energy infrastructure--including pipelines, coal plants, mining and oil extraction. Water of the U.S. (WOTUS) must be dismantled.

Must work to reduce our military footprint around the world
Most importantly, the Authority for Use of Military Force must be dramatically revised. I will not stand for sending our men and women overseas to risk their lives, when those in Congress will not even risk their political career to declare a war.
If no declared war, then no dead American soldiers. The war authority is given to Congress, not the president. We must work to reduce our military footprint around the world in places in which it no longer serves a national security purpose.
