Defends embargo on Cuba; doesn't think it's cruel
A number of Democrats have called for the decades-old embargo to be lifted. Suarez defended the embargo, saying: "I don't think the embargo is cruel at all.
I think the Cuban people aren't asking for a lifting of the embargo. They're going out on the streets every single day talking about the failure of the communist regime to provide for its people ... It has failed for six decades."

because they decrease the chance of war. When you when you treat somebody as an adversary, they tend to become one. There are a group of people in the State Department who want constant pipeline of new wars to feed the military industrial complex
