Francis Suarez: Cities with the strictest gun laws have the most homicides

People often criticize America and say America is a very violent country and they cite the fact that we are seventh in the nation in the world in per capita gun violence. Do you think the top five cities in America are red or blue in terms of homicides? You got it; they're blue. If you take out the top five cities in America in homicides, we go from 7 to 90. And these are the cities where they have the strictest gun laws in America, right?

Mike Pence: Recent gun tragedies reflect fear of crime wave

Tragedy should not require us to forfeit our liberty. And the right of law-abiding citizens to keep and bear arms is enshrined in the Constitution of the United States. I don't know the facts of those cases. I'm confident that local law enforcement will move forward and apply the law in a proper way. But I can't help but suspect that this recent spate of tragedies is evidence of the fear that so many Americans are feeling about the crime wave besetting this country.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.: Mass shootings linked to antidepressants & video games

Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. does not agree with conventional party claims that access to guns alone has caused the rise in mass shootings, especially by youths. Instead, he cites in part the increase on antidepressants and the use of video games. In a long-form, sit-down interview on the Club Random with Bill Maher podcast, Kennedy recalled that as a kid he attended schools that had shooting clubs, and nobody thought of turning those guns on each other.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.: Common sense gun control, and assault weapons ban

Kennedy has stated that he supports "common sense" gun control, but has also said that he would not "take away anybody's guns." He has explained his position saying "I'm a constitutional absolutist. We can argue about whether the Second Amendment was intended to protect guns. That argument has now been settled by the Supreme Court." Kennedy also expressed support for a bipartisan assault weapons ban.

Ryan Binkley: Gun violence is a spiritual and health issue

U.S. presidential candidate Ryan Binkley said gun violence is a "spiritual and health issue" during his visit to Bureau Gravity's production studio in Aurora. The CEO of mergers and acquisitions firm Generational Group and co-founder of Create Church said criminals won't be stopped by bans on assault weapons like the one in Illinois challenged by a Naperville gun shop.
