2023 KY Governor's race: on Crime

Daniel Cameron: Can't appease anti-police movement sweeping this nation

[On supporting police]: "As your Governor, I want everyone in the law enforcement community to know that I'll never abandon you for political gain," said Cameron in a statement. "We cannot appease the anti-police movement that is sweeping this nation. Our communities are less safe as a result. Law enforcement needs to know that their Governor has their back. They uphold the law and keep us safe, and I'll make sure they have the resources and support to do their job."

Mike Harmon: Put violation of drug distribution laws on par with murder

Disrupt the distribution lines for drugs. A full audit and review of current state law needs to be conducted to ensure that we have the tools to effectively tackle the serious, the murderous nature that fentanyl laced drugs represent. In addition, we need to recommit ourselves to prosecuting drug dealers and distributers to the fullest extent possible, and this includes putting violation of drug distribution laws on par with current murder charges.
