2023 KY Governor's race: on Immigration

Daniel Cameron: Ending border restriction will surge illegal immigration

Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced he filed a lawsuit to stop the termination of the Title 42 by President Joe Biden's Administration. "President Biden has failed to provide a comprehensive plan to address the crisis at the border, and now the Administration's decision to end the Title 42 policy will allow a surge in illegal immigration, placing additional strain on states across the country."

Kelly Craft: Beshear and Biden have turned Kentucky into a border state

She would work to tighten the U.S.-Mexico border, which she sees as the source of illegal drugs leading to the opioid crisis in Kentucky. In 2021, Kentucky experienced a 14.5% increase in fatal drug overdoses, largely due to the proliferation of fentanyl, according to a state drug overdose report. "Andy Beshear and Joe Biden have turned Kentucky into a border state," Craft said. "When I'm governor, if you're a drug dealer, I'm coming for you."

Mike Harmon: We must publicly compel the President to control our borders

Regain control of the border. Our federal government has failed to stop the flow of illegal immigrants and illegal drugs into our country. We must continue to strongly and publicly compel the President to enforce federal law and control our borders. The most effective way to make progress on this front is to elect a new president in 2024 that cares about the rule of law and the health and safety of Americans.
