Daniel Cameron: Sued to allow federal aid to be used for state tax reduction

Kentucky is expected to receive about $2.4 billion from the American Rescue Plan Act. But as a condition of receiving the aid, states must comply with a tax mandate that Cameron says effectively prevents them from lowering taxes for citizens for four years. "It stops us in our tracks in terms of our ability to make determinations in the future about what our income tax looks like, what our sales tax looks like. So that's why that case is really important," he said.
