Mike Katz: Divisive politics as usual is no longer an option

During his address at the Independent Party 2023 Convention, Dr. Katz highlighted the government's dysfunction and divisiveness, which he attributed to the two major political parties' focus on winning. As an independent candidate, he pledged his allegiance to the core values of the U.S. Constitution, including Liberty, Justice, and Equality.

Dr. Katz continued, "Business and politics as usual is no longer an option. I have pledged to abide by a Code of Conduct that recognizes our common humanity, to be respectful of all Americans, to work for and seek unity among all Americans, and to work together with all Americans to solve our problems and improve our society. These are the steadfast foundational principles on which we serve our communities and how we treat our fellow citizens."

Dr. Katz was first elected to the Delaware State Senate District 4 as a Democrat in 2008. He ran for re-election in the 2012 election, running unopposed in the Democratic primary.

Eric Hansen: We need transparency and expanded federal agency disclosures

Too often the government tries to tell you what to do and how to think. We must have smart government reform to drive accountability and efficiency. I will restore faith in our government through transparency and expanded federal agency disclosures -- less secrets. We need the government to work for you, not against you behind closed doors.
