On Abortion:
Protect pre-born children regardless of circumstances
We believe Missouri's pre-born children are entitled to that protection of life too, regardless of the circumstances of their conception, and since taking office, I have striven to protect them. Missouri led the country to enact and sustain pro-life
legislation in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision to return the regulation of abortion to states, and I am grateful to have earned the sole endorsement for Governor from Missouri Right to Life.

On Civil Rights:
Banning biological males from women's sports is a priority
While the legislature did pass a ban on biological males competing in women's sports, they allowed it to expire in four years. As the father of a young daughter, I testified before the legislature for a permanent ban because
I think every female deserves to have their rights and opportunities protected. As Governor this will be a priority.

On Corporations:
Ethical investing is against shareholder interests
ESG and the Corporate Equality Index (CEI) are part of the so-called "ethical investing" movement being pushed by progressives, activist shareholders, and proxy voters, driving investments toward liberal priorities that are in conflict with investors'
interests. When banks and asset managers use that power to push ESG goals over investor returns, they are defrauding the investor. [ESG = Environmental, social, and corporate governance].

On Crime:
Local control of police has endangered public safety
While the State of Missouri has nearly doubled its annual budget in the last five years, from $28 billion to $51 billion, little of that has made it to public safety agencies. Meanwhile our officers face unprecedented scrutiny, an elected leadership
more tolerant of criminals, and in-competence and mismanagement from their leadership. Under local control, the focus has been on "control" rather than public safety.

On Education:
Our kids our deluged with inappropriate content
It is more difficult than ever to shield young children from material and images that would've been put behind the counter at the Kum & Go just a few years ago. Our kids our deluged with inappropriate content on television, on the internet, in social
media, and throughout our culture. For parents of young kids, it is a struggle to navigate an increasingly complicated and morally relative society and instill the values we were raised with in a culture that no longer appreciates those values.

On Foreign Policy:
Wrote bill forbidding enemies from owning Missouri land
The House passed legislation that my office helped write to prevent China, Iran, Venezuela, Russia, and North Korea from buying or owning Missouri land. But in the final weeks of the session, the Senate added a loophole, with
support from Senator Bill Eigel, inexplicably allowing each of these countries to buy as much Missouri land as they want as long as they don't use it for farming. That loophole blew up the bill and ended our chances to protect Missouri land in 2023.
