2024 NC Governor's race: on Crime
Dale Folwell:
Causing death or harm to fetus should be a criminal offense
Several North Carolina lawmakers are promoting legislation that would create criminal offenses for acts that cause the death or injury of a fetus "at any stage of development.""This bill speaks for itself, and it speaks to how North Carolina is going
to treat murderers and thugs of pregnant women in this state," Folwell said. If it becomes law, House Bill 215 would make someone who commits murder, manslaughter or assault against a pregnant woman guilty of the same crimes against the fetus.

Mark Robinson:
Back up police officers, don't throw them under the bus
One thing this nation has been pleased with is a vast amount of decent hardworking honest young men and women who are willing to be police officers and the vast majority of them do a fantastic job. If we don't change the trend that we
currently see in politics, where elected officials are not backing up police officers, and in fact are throwing them under the bus of the we will miss the days of the good old friendly cop on the beat and we are just going to fall into chaos.

Michael Morgan:
Consider criminal record expungement for some offenses
The state needs to look at criminal record expungement for some offenses, Morgan said, and reentry opportunities and job training for people coming out of jail. "We need to change the paradigm and look at the dynamics, and not
continue to punish people based upon what they did wrong after they've paid their debt to society and they want to move forward and make things better for themselves and their families," he said.

Criminal Justice : How to ensure effectiveness and fairness in law enforcement?- Mark Robinson (R):
