2024 NC Governor's race: on Energy & Oil
Dale Folwell:
Energy independence would help lower fixed-income people
Instead of allowing activist investment firms to leverage state pension funds for their own goals, Folwell said states could use them to help struggling North Carolinians. "We need to redefine what these words [ESG] mean," he said. "Right now,
with inflation as high as it is, the 'E' needs to stand for energy independence. That is the single best thing that we can do for lower fixed-income people in North Carolina; to get toward more supply of energy that results in lower costs.

Andy Wells:
Believe your own eyes at gas pump; economy not recovering
Gas Prices: Newsmax just reported, "The national average for gas prices stood at $3.83 a gallon last Friday -- about 30 cents higher than that seen a month ago, according to motor club AAA."
At the same time, politicians are telling us the economy is recovering.
Who can you believe? Politicians? Or your own eyes at the gas pump?

Mark Robinson:
Climate change lies are based on junk science
Mark Robinson also holds extreme views on the environment. When it comes to climate change, he adamantly denies it as "junk science." And in another speech, he said, "I'm sick of these lies about global warming. Stop talking to me about climate change.
I know the climate changes, it happens four times a year, it's called seasons!" Robinson has made it clear he will side with polluters, rather than standing up to protect clean water and clean air.
He has said he wants to relax regulations and
threatened to "keep the climate change, the climate change cabal out of this state and if they are in a state, keeping them in chains."

Educators who teach climate science are "liars." Will "keep the climate change cabal out of this state." "We have now allowed those folks to dictate what we do based on pseudoscience."
-
Josh Stein (D): Yes. Sees a "climate emergency." "We need to take swift action to protect our planet." Will "work to prepare our state for the impacts of climate change."
Supported incentives for rooftop solar and would work to dramatically reduce carbon emissions in North Carolina.
