Larry Elder: Inflation is a sure sign of a collapsing civilization

Inflation is a hidden tax that erodes the purchasing power of Americans. Joe Biden and the Democrats' reckless spending and money printing have put us on a dangerous path, with rising prices and economic uncertainty threatening the prosperity of millions. A threat to the dollar is a threat to America. Historically, inflation is one of the surest signs of a collapsing civilization. Does this not bother the Democratic Party?

Perry Johnson: Cut two cents off of every dollar in discretionary spending

Perry Johnson has a plan to save America. The Two-Cents Plan will cut two cents off of every dollar in federal discretionary spending to end inflation and solve the debt crisis. It's simple. It's reasonable. It can be done. Perry will get it done. Perry is so confident in his plan, that he wants to make sure you can read all about it. Will Hurd: We need free markets not democratic socialism

American economic and military dominance is no longer guaranteed. Prosperity is a product of empowering people not the Government. To move people up the economic ladder we need free markets not democratic socialism.

Perry Johnson: Out of control government spending gave us high inflation

For an economy to work properly, we need inflation at a manageable, low level. The ideal mark should be around 2%. But in the fall of 2022, we had reached 8%, the highest rate in over 40 years. Out of control spending on massive "Covid relief" programs, foreign interventions and runaway social programs put us in this situation. We had to borrow and borrow and borrow. The federal reserve had to rev up the printing press to keep us afloat. But you can't get away with that forever.

Stephen Laffey: Federal Reserve should be limited to money supply

The Federal Reserve's mandate should be changed and limited to the sole task of managing the money supply to target inflation at 0%This will force Congress to operate within its budget, so that it will no longer be able to depend on the Fed bailing it out.

Our national debt will finally be reigned in, and Congress's habit of passing initiatives for which there is no money, will stop.

Asa Hutchinson: Repair infrastructure; don't support unnecessary spending

It is long past time for a nationally robust infrastructure package. Highways, roads, and bridges across this country are in desperate need of repair. Additionally, access to high-speed broadband--for all Americans--is imperative to our future success as a nation. Republicans on Capitol Hill support this endeavor, but they do not--nor should they--support the out-of-control and unnecessary spending promoted by national Democrats. Supporting critical infrastructure can be accomplished without abandoning our responsibility to the American taxpayers.

Jill Stein: An Economic Bill of Rights would guarantee basic security

We need an economy that works for all of us, not just the wealthy and powerful. To reverse surging inequality and insecurity, we need an Economic Bill of Rights, including the right to a living-wage job, housing, food, healthcare, education and more, so that all of us are guaranteed the basic security for a good life.

Ryan Binkley: Two percent cut in nondefense discretionary spending

What we need to do is cut the things that don't work and invest in the things that do work. We need to be honest about the tough choices which need to be made, however. Yes, that means reducing discretionary spending, but it also means entitlement reform. First, starting with nondefense discretionary spending, we need a two percent cut across the board. Our fiscal house is in disarray. We are not in a position to be paying for everything we want, instead we must focus on what we need.

I will pursue a Balanced Budget Amendment. Already, 46 states have some type of balanced budget requirement in place; 37 are in the State constitution. Even in the four states without formal balanced budget requirements have some sort of debt restriction and other provisions to effectively restrict their ability to run a deficit. My package of budget process reforms will bring accountability--and fiscal responsibility--back to the federal budget process.

Kamala Harris: Provide first-time homebuyers up to $25K for down payments

As more new homes are built and affordable housing supply increases, Vice President Harris will provide first-time homebuyers with up to $25,000 to help with their down payments, with more generous support for first-generation homeowners. This will help more Americans experience the pride of homeownership and the financial security that it represents and brings – offering more Americans a path to the middle class and economic opportunity.
