Jim Banks: Schools should educate--not indoctrinate--America's youth

Jim believes our schools should educate--not indoctrinate--America's youth. Jim is staunchly opposed to Critical Race Theory and other liberal propaganda, like the 1619 Project, being pushed onto elementary school children at the cost of basic subjects like reading and math. Jim firmly believes that all students should have access to a great education that fits their unique, individual needs, and that parents--not government bureaucrats--know what is best for their children.

Matt Dolan: Expand school choice; stop the creep of Critical Race Theory

I am the only candidate for U.S. Senate that has a proven record of expanding school choice and standing firmly against the creep of Critical Race Theory into Ohio classrooms. If we empower students and parents, instead of unions and special interests, education will flourish in America. That is why I have made support for academic freedom, school choice, trade skills and affordability in education a cornerstone of my career in public service.

Peter Ricketts: Scrap radically inappropriate sex education topics

Governor Ricketts called on the Nebraska Department of Education to scrap their proposed sex education topics that are included in their draft health standards and worked with concerned parents to stop the radically inappropriate content from being pushed into schools. The new standards would have taught young children age-inappropriate content starting in kindergarten, but also inject non-scientific, political ideas into curriculum standards.

Scott Parkinson: Will be a warrior defending parental rights in education

Scott will be a warrior for the middle class, honing in on the fiscal insanity in Washington, championing economic growth policies, defending parental rights in education, and restoring public safety on our streets. Scott will fight for parents' rights, veterans' benefits against the bureaucracy, and senior citizens against Leftist radicals that want to end Medicare as we know it.

Tim Sheehy: It's important to have more choice in our education system

Parents must be at the forefront of their child's education, and it's important that we have more choice in our education system. We need to get politics out of the classroom and end the woke social agenda infecting our schools. Let's focus on the fundamentals of reading, writing, and arithmetic. And above all, we need leaders in Washington to stop things like drag queen story time from replacing the Lord's Prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance in our classrooms.

Frank LaRose: Children hurt by the big government education establishment

Children across America are getting a raw deal from the big government education establishment. Education bureaucrats greatly prolonged the suffering of children during the pandemic by scheming to keep schools closed; then they loaded up lesson plans with gender radicalism, climate extremism and anti-American revisionist history; and, when parents complained, they got Joe Biden's FBI to label them "domestic terrorists."

As a state senator, Frank supported school choice, fought for parental rights, and invested in safer classrooms. He beat back the radical education union agendas, and, where schools weren't improving, he made sure parents had access to vouchers that gave them a choice in their child's education. Typically, failing schools plead for bigger budgets just to give pay increases to staff while kids get little or nothing in the classroom.

Kelly Ayotte: Will work to pass and sign the Parental Bill of Rights

Kelly will fight for Universal education freedom because every child should have the same learning opportunities and chance at success, regardless of their zip code or family income. As Governor, Kelly will enthusiastically work to pass and sign the Parental Bill of Rights. Parents have a right to decide what is best for their child--period. Children are in school to learn academics--not to be indoctrinated by ideologies.

Sam Brown: Commit to making school choice a reality across the country

We need conservative leaders in the U.S. Senate who are committed to making school choice a reality across the country. Families deserve the power to make their own choices when it comes to the education of their children. Creating better curriculums, empowering educators, and giving parents school choice are the keys to unlocking the full potential of the next generations. Our classrooms should be focused on educating, not indoctrinating.

A special education teacher of 27 years, Gloria was fed up with elected officials attacking the rights of public school students and teachers. After the legislature took away a teacher's seat at the table, she decided to run for the Tennessee House in Knoxville in 2012--she won and has been fighting to hold extreme politicians and special interests accountable ever since.

Tammy Murphy: Led charge to put place a climate curriculum in schools

As First Lady, Tammy Murphy led the charge to put in place a climate curriculum in schools, making New Jersey the first and only state in the nation to do so. Gail Lightfoot: Abolish the federal Department of Education

The current K-12 educational system is fundamentally flawed because it is based on what is essentially a socialist model. But the federal government can at least try to avoid making the problems worse. To that end, here are some steps Congress can take:
