Tim Sheehy:
Government control of health care has made things worse
Our health care system is broken. Because of Obamacare, Montanans face higher premiums year after year. More government control of our health care has only made things worse. Like most Montanans, I believe we need to promote greater transparency,
competition, and shopping for services in our health care system. We should be rewarding outcomes and innovation, improving access to care in our rural communities, and most importantly, protecting Montanans with pre-existing conditions.

Growing need in state for more mental health services

Sam Brown:
Competition--not government--drives medical innovations
Politicians have allowed bureaucrats to write healthcare laws, like Obamacare, that flood the marketplace with regulations--starving it of options--while driving up costs and lowering access to quality coverage. Competition--not government--drives
medical innovations that lead to better care and lower costs. Without burdensome government intervention, the marketplace and patients will be the driving force that solve the problems within our healthcare system.

Lower drugs costs; push for Medicare for all
Will work to lower drug costs and bring adequate medical care to all parts of Indiana and will push for Medicare for all citizens. [OnTheIssues explanation (from HHS.gov): Current eligibility for Medicare includes all citizens over 65 years old; or
younger citizens who have disabilities or specified serious diseases. The result of "Medicare for all" would be to expand the Medicare program instead of private health insurance or other government programs].

Eric Hansen:
Allow Medicare/Medicaid to negotiate price of drugs
We must allow Medicare and Medicaid to negotiate the price of prescription drugs, saving seniors money. I will lower the cost of health care by allowing insurance to be purchased from out-of-state providers that provide you with more choice and lower
insurance costs. We will also offer longer patents to pharmaceutical companies that keep prescription drugs prices low. We will increase federal incentives to bring pharmaceutical drug jobs and manufacturing back to the U.S. and back to Delaware.

Eric Hovde:
The ACA has failed to live up to its expectation
Our healthcare system is deeply flawed and in need of reform. Over the last decade, quality of care has decreased, and insurance premiums have doubled, in some cases tripled. This is largely a result of the failures of Obamacare. Initially promised to
be a groundbreaking reform aimed at providing affordable care for all, the ACA has failed to live up to its expectation. Instead of a decrease in healthcare costs, Americans have experienced a sharp increase in insurance premiums.

Medicare-for-all is unrealistic and un-American
People should have choice in healthcare. At the same time, healthcare is a human right and the government must ensure that all American can access healthcare.
Medicare-for-all is unrealistic and un-American. We must incentivize healthy living because healthy citizens give more and take less from the government.

Americans are unaware of medications now unavailable
Rationing has no place in our society, yet it is happening under the cover of darkness. Most Americans are unaware several types of medication including antibiotics, cancer therapy, and pain medication are now unavailable at their local pharmacy.
We must reevaluate our dependence on raw ingredients specifically from China and India which are vital to the manufacturing of prescription drugs. Doctors are now rationing drugs because they have become unavailable or are in short supply.

Royce White:
Demanded NBA spearhead conversation on mental health
Eventually, his concerns became a public dispute between White and the NBA. This resulted in White demanding that the NBA, as a representative of the global corporate community, take up the responsibility of spearheading the mental health conversation--
not just posturing through press statements, but through policy. This put White at irreconcilable odds with the NBA and also the greater sports community that White now counts as a part of the Media Industrial Complex.

COVID vaccine mandates violate religious freedom
I believe that the decisions which govern life and death are made by individual human persons, and that the choice to follow one's faith in God is of at least equal value to following the advice of one's doctor. We are a free people, and
I will not forget the globalist COVID-19 power grab attempt to snatch away freedom. Elect me to Senator, and I will be part of the effort to hold those responsible for the COVID-19 deceit accountable.

Dan Osborn:
Stop handing huge subsidies to super-profitable Big Pharma
Taxpayers have sent Moderna $10 billion in COVID subsidies. The CEO of Moderna made $398 million in 2022. Moderna just more than quadrupled the price of the COVID vaccine. This is madness. Stop handing huge subsidies to super-profitable pharmaceutical
companies. In the heat of the pandemic, Congress handed over tens of billions of dollars to Big Pharma. Some of this turned into the vaccine. Much of it turned into CEO pay. I will never support handing huge pharmaceuticals a blank check.

John Deaton:
Don’t let ObamaCare tax credits sunset
Quality, affordable health care in America is a necessity and should not be considered out of reach for anyone. Congress must do a better job at reining in administrative costs, but not at the expense of our citizens.- Expand the Premium Tax
Credit (PTC) for low-income families. Tax credits implemented under the Affordable Care Act are set to expire in 2025, and it's imperative that Congress has the courage to keep them from sunsetting. This cost-sharing tool allows citizens who seek
employment and transition away from Medicaid to maintain support while they adjust to an independent life.
- Ban the use of medical debt in credit scoring.
- Raise the cap on low-income families eligible for cost sharing reductions (CSRs).
These ideas require bipartisan compromises in order to change America's health care system for the better. As a nonpartisan U.S. Senator, I promise to seek solutions that are not rammed through on party-line votes.
