And Consul General Cohen, please know we continue to pray for the safety and security of all those living in the Holy Land, and for the prospect of lasting peace.

Kim Reynolds: We must further protect our farmland from foreign interests

China continues to grow more aggressive, and buying American land has been one of the many ways they have waged this new battle. Fortunately, Iowa has some of the strongest laws in the country on foreign ownership of land. We've developed a bill to further protect our farmland from foreign interests. This legislation will enhance reporting and enforcement, increase penalties, and provide more transparency to Iowans on what land is currently under foreign ownership.

Kristi Noem: Freedom to farm and ranch should not extend to our enemies

Last year, I brought forward legislation that would have stopped foreign adversaries from purchasing ag land in South Dakota. China and other evil foreign governments are executing a plan to own our land and control our food supply. Although last year's proposal to regulate these purchases did not pass, we have continued to discuss solutions. South Dakota respects the Freedom to farm and ranch. That Freedom should not extend to our enemies.

Jim Pillen: Keep enemies of our country from owning land in our state

With our water being the envy of the world, we cannot allow adversarial foreign interests the ability to take it. That is why I am partnering with Senator DeKay to modernize Nebraska's laws on land ownership to prohibit purchases by adversaries. The bill rescinds exemptions for foreign ownership, such as foreign oil, gas and mineral development in the state. It is imperative to keep enemies of our country from owning land in our state, especially near sensitive military installations.
