2024 VA Senate race: on Budget & Economy

Scott Parkinson: Opposing balanced budget amendment is irresponsible

It is also imperative for Washington to responsibly address the debt crisis that has resulted in a $33 trillion national debt. The apprehension to enact a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution is irresponsible and mind-boggling. If a family must live within a budget, so must the government. In 2024, American voters will make a choice between a radical ideology and kitchen table issues such as the costs of food, gas, and housing.

Scott Parkinson: Advocated for economic freedom, opportunity, and liberty

In 2018, Scott was Representative Ron DeSantis' Chief of Staff while DeSantis successfully won the Governor race in Florida. After serving as DeSantis' deputy executive director of his Gubernatorial transition team in Tallahassee, Scott joined the Club for Growth as Vice President of Government Affairs, where he has advocated for economic freedom, opportunity, and liberty.

Scott believes it is time for new conservative leaders like him to step up & run for political office because too many career politicians like Tim Kaine and Joe Biden have failed the American People and are disconnected from economic and cultural reality.
