David Zuckerman in 2024 VT Governor's race

On Free Trade: China could provide a broad market for Vermont

Zuckerman welcomes the Chinese Consulate General in New York to introduce and promote Vermont to more Chinese people. He knows the overall strength of the diary, beer, and other industries in Vermont well, and he believes that China could definitely provide a broad market for them. He is willing to introduce the "The Belt and Road" construction and the holding of the Expo in China to relevant departments of the State Government and the enterprises in Vermont.

On Homeland Security: Apologized for criticizing Vermont Air National Guard

Zuckerman apologized for questioning the role that the Vermont Air National Guard played in the response to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. "I have tremendous respect for our service personnel and the Guard and national service for their willingness to put their lives on the line for all of us--whether it be in a terrorist situation, a national tragedy or a natural disaster," the senator said. "Our Guard serve us at the drop of a hat, putting their families aside."

On Principles & Values: Met with faith leaders to discuss effects of climate crisis

Yesterday, I met with leaders of the faith community @vtinterfaithaction and Vermont Interfaith Power & Light who came to Montpelier to advocate for a just, equitable, and sustainable future for all people, creatures, and ecosystems. We must take strong, decisive action to protect our climate and mitigate the effects of the climate crisis.
