With our energy industry under attack, the looming threat to American energy independence is undeniable. Energy is a vital industry for maintaining our economic and military security. Yet our government literally "declared a war on coal" while abetting a 450 percent increase in China coal use over the past 4 decades. China now uses more coal than the rest of the world combined.
Again this irrational behavior is justified on the back of widely held but incorrect beliefs. In truth, government lies, alarmism, and the resulting over-regulation in the U.S. and other Western nations is a greater threat to the world's climate that climate change will ever be.
Free trader extremists are now learning that they have been wrong and that George Washington had it right 240 years ago--we should not entangle our children's future with that of foreign dictatorships.
Perhaps [supply chain issues from the COVID] virus will teach our politicians what "common sense Americans" have always known. American dependency on foreign products, foreign medicine, and foreign principles will not make America Great Again.
Maybe "extreme free traders" will soon have an epiphany and begin to chant "Made in America." Maybe their absence of common sense will be superseded by the reality of Americans dying and suffering. Maybe they will learn that we need to enact the policies that made America Great to begin with if we are to make America Great Again.
The virus has caused politicians to suddenly realize that our medicines come from China. Our Senators are now telling us they are anxious to fix that crisis for us as well. It does not even dawn on them that they created the crisis. Politicians who for years have called China a "key trading partner" are now calling China a "liar", a "propagandist".
Our most expensive import from China this year will be a "coronavirus". The cost of this virus to Americans, just this year, will be greater than all the money we will receive for all the products we will export to China this decade.
A: Americans must be made aware that they cannot rely on the media for truthful information. The media is simply an extension of the two major political parties. Political parties are in partnership with corporate media empires that all seek to divide Americans with untruths. Corporations need to exert less control over American media organizations so that we have more access to truthful sources. Corporate support of Congress and their PACs hide the truth in America and what Congress does to harm average Americans.
A: We must return to a nation of laws. The laws on the books are not themselves the major issue. Illogical rulings by judges who refuse to follow legal statutes and never face oversight while sitting on the bench for lifetime appointments are a problem. We must hold Members of Congress to at least as strict compliance with the law as we do American businesses and businessmen. Conflicts of interest, improper behavior, and waste cannot be tolerated.
Americans must be made aware that they cannot rely on the media for truthful information. The media is simply an extension of the two major political parties.
