Bob McDonnell:
One crime committed by an illegal alien is one too many
Virginia Attorney General Bob McDonnell released a five-page letter on Wednesday calling on the government to immediately act on the growing criminal illegal immigration problem in the United States.
McDonnell is looking specifically at illegal immigrants who commit crimes in this country. He says even one crime committed by an illegal alien against a U.S. citizen is one too many.
The Attorney General wants President George Bush, House Speaker
Nancy Pelosi, and a host of other top officials to make this issue a top priority.
In the letter he said: "It is your most fundamental obligation to the citizens of the United States to provide for their safety and security.
I request that you do everything possible at the federal level to meet this obligation, including enabling and funding state and local agencies to assist you in your responsibilities."

Stein filed a friend-of-the-court brief pushing back against the ongoing, misguided effort led by Texas to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. North Carolina is home to approximately 24,000 DACA grantees. "Dreamers should be

A U.S. appeals court sided with Attorney General Curtis Hill in his efforts to defend Indiana statutes requiring local police cooperation with federal immigration detainer requests. The victory for Hill is the latest twist in a case that began when
Marion County officials colluded with the American Civil Liberties Union to avoid following state law. In the agreement, the Sheriff's Department pledged not to cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention requests.
