Frank Riggs: No one-time gimmicks; we need truth in budgeting

I will provide the fiscally responsible leadership that's been missing in our state through fundamental budget and tax reforms. We won't "kick the can down the road" on my watch. I will focus like a laser on the economy and creating living wage jobs, not through corporate welfare or crony capitalism, but by a fairer and flatter tax code, reducing corporate tax rates, and economic policies that create a level playing field.

The next governor is going to inherit major fiscal challenges. The sales tax increase has expired and we've run out of one-time gimmicks like "borrowing long" against state-owned buildings and pledging lottery revenues to pay for annual operating costs. Kari Lake: In a public health crisis let citizens decide for themselves

When the pandemic hit, states across the country put the hammer down on small businesses; forcing their closure, limiting their occupancy, and requiring costly modifications to their operations. I will never allow our state to do anything like this, ever again. In a public health crisis, or any crisis, it is the responsibility of the government to give our citizens the very best, most accurate information possible, and allow them to make their own informed decisions.
