State of Arizona secondary Archives: on Government Reform
Jim Lamon:
Excessive regulations stifles American innovation
When it comes to jobs and economic growth, government is typically the problem, not the solution. From deciding what businesses are essential to imposing excessive regulations, government stifles American innovation, depresses wages, and hurts
American workers. I will reduce regulatory burdens on business and support policies that prioritize full employment for all American workers at good wages.

Require voter ID on all ballots
Require voter ID on all ballots. One person, one vote. There is nothing fairer than that, and--despite what the mainstream media says--voter ID requirements are overwhelmingly popular with every single Party and demographic.
The only people who don't want to see voter ID implemented are progressive activists and the media. Take all equipment that uses software out of the counting process. As we have seen in recent weeks if it has software, it can be hacked.
Elections are simply too important to take that risk. Using analog optical scanners will be more personnel and time-consuming than using computers--so we pay for the personnel and resources we need.
Elections should be followed with regular, highly accurate audits of the results to ensure transparency and bolster public trust.

COVID: Pass law forbidding closing churches
As Americans, we have the freedom to worship where, when, and how we choose. I will work with our legislature to pass a law preventing any government interference of this fundamental liberty under any circumstances.
No governor, no Mayor, no board will have the right to shut down religious observances or worship. Ever.

Ruben Gallego:
Get Washington working again by taking money out of politics
Mayday PAC supports Democrat Ruben Gallego, AZ-7 primary election: Gallego is a former Arizona state representative running against Mary Rose Wilcox, the Maricopa County Supervisor. The district is currently represented by retiring democratic congressman
Ed Pastor.FACTS: Gallego believes that the only way to get Washington working again is to take money out of politics. He supports the Government by the People Act and a constitutional amendment that would overturn the Citizens United decision.
FACTS: Gallego has received praise from the Fair Elections Now Coalition for co-sponsoring the Fair Elections Now Act.
Mayday PAC works with candidates who support reform on both sides of the aisle. Mayday PAC will be communicating directly with
voters in these districts with specific messages on political cronyism and reform. Mayday PAC will be working to make changing the way elections are funded a fundamental issue in each of these races.

Steve Gaynor:
Demand voter ID, election audits should be routine
In an effort to increase voter participation, Democrat Secretary of State Katie Hobbs has destroyed voter confidence in our elections. We must demand secure voter identification, fraud-proof paper ballots, and so-called "dumb" counting
machines that aren't connected to the internet. Given the widespread distrust of the results of the 2020 election, it was appropriate and necessary to conduct an audit of the election. Election audits should be routine, and statewide.
