Rather than raising taxes to fund government, we have to make a course correction and change the way we think about spending. The White House and Congress have largely just provided funding for a bloated bureaucracy regardless of cost. We need to return the focus of Washington to core federal government roles and services. Do we even need a Department of Housing and Urban Development or can states play this role?
Our national debt has increased by over 60 percent (to over $17 trillion dollars) during the Obama Administration--with no end in sight. America does not have an income problem, we have a spending problem.
