Debbie Dingell: Climate change requires pro-active federal solutions

Climate Change, as the experts have proven, is a real problem that requires pro-active solutions from the federal government. We need programs that help the private sector explore new business models that can deliver clean energy and energy efficiency at lower cost. If elected to Congress, I will seek out and support appropriate solutions that put our country on a realistic and sustainable path to address this challenge. We need to increase funding for research & development of sustainable energy sources, support tax credits for the development and production of renewable energy like solar, wind, and more efficient and electric vehicles, explore user fees to reduce pollution, and increase funding for mass transit.

Paul Mitchell: All-of-the-above strategy including Keystone XL

As your member of Congress I would pursue the following fiscal priorities:
• Advance an "All of the Above" energy strategy that promotes new and innovative technology while at the same time opening up more federal lands to energy exploration and development. This will create countless new high paying jobs to grow our economy, send dollars to the treasury and stop shipping our wealth overseas to nations which are not friendly to America's interests.
• Support permitting the Keystone XL Pipeline.
• Stop using taxpayer money for crony capitalism that allows the government to pick winners and losers in the economy. Let the free market choose the best ideas and innovations to build our economy.
