State of Missouri secondary Archives: on Welfare & Poverty

Trudy Busch Valentine: Invest in programs for affordable housing

The Department of Housing and Urban Development's Housing Choice Voucher program, which is administered at the local level, helps low-income families, elderly people, and the disabled afford housing. Similarly, the National Housing Trust Fund works to build and rehabilitate homes for low-income people. Trudy supports further investments into these programs so that no Missourian has to wonder whether they can put a roof over their head.
