A: I believe we need true campaign finance reform that includes more transparency. We should require more frequent online reporting. We should eliminate 527s and force full disclosure so the voters know who is paying for political advertisements.
A: Yes.
Q: Do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
A: No.
Q: Is balancing the budget a legislative priority?
A: Yes. I believe we can find savings in the Defense budget, but I do not support President Obama's proposal to cut $1T from Defense.
A: No.
Q: Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration law by state and local police?
A: Yes. We have got to secure the border and stop the flow of illegal immigrants. Then we need to reform the legal immigration system so it is easier to come here legally than illegally. We need to reform our visa system so that we issue visas based on employer needs, not based on a lottery. We also need to end "birth right citizenship." Once we achieve these reforms, then we can consider what to do with illegal immigrants who are already here. They should never have a path to citizenship, but we need to deal with them compassionately and humanely.
A: First, we must ensure the stability of Social Security and not change anything for anyone who is already retired or near retirement age. Larry Kissell's policy on Social Security is to let it go bankrupt so everyone loses their benefits. I believe we need to reform the system for those my age and younger so we can save Social Security.
A: Yes.
Q: Do you support a timetable for withdrawal from Afghanistan?
A: No.
A: Yes. The last thing anyone wants is to have to use military force in Iran. However, Pres. Obama's policy is a failure. The best way to ensure that military force is not used is to have Iran believe we will use it. By taking that option off the table, by creating doubt about our support for Israel and by showing weakness in dealing with bad actors around the globe, Obama has made the world a more dangerous place.
