Jake Merrick: I encourage the growth of the oil and gas industry

Oklahoma is an oil and gas state, ranking as the sixth-largest crude oil producer in the U.S. Oil and natural gas remain the most abundant and reliable energy sources in the world, and Oklahoma has enough to sustain itself and beyond. I fully support President Trump's call to "drill, baby, drill" and encourage the growth of the oil and gas industry. In contrast, many green energy projects, like wind and solar, are unreliable, minimally regulated, and negatively impact the environment.

Jake Merrick: Halt unchecked expansion of wind turbines and solar farms

I'll halt the unchecked expansion of wind turbines and solar farms that are destroying our rural landscapes and threatening our agricultural economy. Local communities should decide what happens in their backyards, not federal bureaucrats pushing a radical green agenda.
