No state government dollars for funding abortion
Q: Where do you stand on ending funding for Planned Parenthood or other low-income, female reproductive health-care providers? The issue: Under federal law, Medicaid does not cover abortions. And, Idaho does not allow state money to pay for abortions.
Idaho has no clinics solely dedicated to abortions, but it does have Planned Parenthood offices that provide abortions among a range of female health care services, largely routine. Conservatives in Idaho and nationally have long sought to end public
money to Planned Parenthood because of its abortion services.
Little: "Idaho does not use state government dollars for funding abortion and that will continue while I am governor."
Democratic opponent Paulette Jordan: "For many people in
Idaho, especially women, a Planned Parenthood physician is the only medical provider they visit each year. If we cut funding, we leave thousands of struggling families and individuals without the services they need."

Brad Little:
Proud to have led the country in protecting preborn lives
Our nation's highest court returned the issue of abortion to the states to regulate--end of story. The U.S. Justice Department's interference with Idaho's pro-life law is another example of Biden overreaching yet again
while he continues to ignore issues that really should demand his attention--like crushing inflation and the open border with Mexico. Here in Idaho, we are proud that we have led the country in protecting preborn lives.

unconditionally protected."McGeachin called the current trigger law "insufficient, containing numerous exceptions and carve-outs." She said, "No child should ever be murdered because of the circumstances surrounding his or her conception."

Limited to rape, incest, mother's life in imminent danger
Life is a precious gift from God, and I am strongly committed to protecting the rights of the unborn. Abortion should be limited to cases of criminal rape, incest or when the mother's life is in imminent danger.
The National Right to Life Committee has given me a 100% rating, and I will continue to consistently support legislation that protects the rights of the unborn.

Support woman's right to make her own health decisions
I support fairness and equality in the workplace, and I support a woman's right to make her own health care decisions.
I also support the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). Jim Risch voted against reauthorization of VAWA. I would have voted for it.

Planned Parenthoods value is more than reproductive care
Q: Where do you stand on ending funding for Planned Parenthood or other reproductive health-care providers? The issue: Idaho does not allow state money to pay for abortions. Idaho has Planned Parenthood offices that provide abortions among a range of
female health care services.
Jordan: "Planned Parenthood serves more than 7,000 Idahoans each year, and its services are essential. In addition to reproductive healthcare, Planned Parenthood provides cancer screenings to patients on a sliding cost
scale, regardless of their ability to pay. For many people in Idaho, especially women, without sufficient healthcare coverage, a Planned Parenthood physician is the only medical provider they visit each year. If we cut funding to Planned Parenthood, we
leave thousands of struggling families and individuals without the services they need to manage their own health."

Stephen Heidt:
Complex decision should be made by woman and her doctor
All life is precious whether it's an unborn child, someone born into poverty, or a prisoner on death row.
Abortion is a complex decision that needs to be made in privacy by the woman and her doctor. The government should be doing whatever is necessary to make life the most attractive choice.

Tom Sullivan:
Decision by an individual based upon their faith
Q: Do you consider yourself pro-choice? A: Yes.
Q: Should abortion be legal only within the first trimester of pregnancy?
A: Yes.
Q: Should abortion be legal when the pregnancy resulted from incest or rape?
A: Yes.
Q: Should federal subsidies be prohibited from being used for abortion procedures?
A: Yes.
Sullivan adds, "Abortion is a difficult and painful decision for a woman to make.
It is a decision only she can make, based on the dictates of her own conscience and faith, not on the dictate's of someone else's. But except under exceptional circumstances, such as rape, incest or danger to her health, she should make that decision
as early as she can, so she is not aborting a fetus that is increasingly becoming more like a person. Difficult decisions should be made by an individual based upon their faith. Government should not step into people's private lives."
