Heather Wilson: Strongly in favor of a balanced-budget amendment

Heinrich said Wilson has endorsed a plan for radical cuts to Social Security. That was a reference to the "Cut, Cap and Balance" pledge, in which signers promise to oppose any move to raise the federal debt limit unless it's accompanied by major spending cuts, caps on future spending and a balanced-budget amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Wilson did sign that pledge in June 2011. In the debate, she argued strongly in favor of a balanced-budget amendment.

Mick Rich: Feds kill more jobs with regulation than stimulus package

The federal government kills more American jobs through regulation than it could ever create through public works projects or stimulus packages. When we ask what our Senators and Congressmen can do to create jobs, the first step is to remove rules and regulations that discourage hiring, discourage banks from lending to businesses, and discourage manufacturers from producing goods here in America.

Susana Martinez: Cut spending to balance state budget

In order to balance our budget and address our state's fiscal crisis, we must act quickly to cut waste from government. This is the beginning of our fight to balance the budget and rein in government spending. It's time to cut spending, shrink government, and commit ourselves to protecting taxpayer money rather than wasting it.

Michelle Lujan-Grisham: Infrastructure brings jobs and opportunity to our state

Infrastructure brings jobs and opportunity to the people of our state. I'm calling for $128 million in water infrastructure improvements, $146 million in statewide broadband expansion, and updates to the New Mexico Film Tax Credit so we can attract even more businesses and redouble our investments in critical workforce development and job training programs. New Mexicans are the best workers in the country, and we are creating the conditions that bring them lifelong careers.
