Brian Sandoval: $1.5M more for Meals-on-Wheels for seniors

I want to say a few words about what we're doing to aid our most valuable, and sometimes most vulnerable, citizens. My budget includes $11.5 million in new funding to expand the home and community based/frail elderly waiver, which helps seniors stay in their homes with quality care.

Also in my budget is $1.5 million in new funding for the successful Meals on Wheels program. Helping our senior citizens lead independent, meaningful and dignified lives needs to be a priority for all of us.

Jacky Rosen: Increase federal funds for affordable housing

Economy

Sam Brown (R): Decrease. "Congress has mortgaged America's future." Proposed eliminating federal agencies with "a state counterpart," such as Depts of Education and Transportation. Opposed the 2021 infrastructure law. In 2022 proposed "painful" federal spending cuts.
Jacky Rosen (D): Increase. Supports increasing federal funds for affordable housing. Voted to increase investment in semiconductor chip manufacturing in the US. Voted for the $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure law. Would "build an economy that levels the playing field for workers and small businesses."
