Crashing the Party, by Ralph Nader: on Civil Rights

Ralph Nader: Questioned anti-female bias at 1950s Harvard Law School

I would have walked her through my efforts at law school, while writing for the laws school newspaper in the fifties, to question the deans about their admission policy, which admitted only about fifteen women in a class of 550 students. One professor told me that women who take male seats will go on to give birth to babies, not briefs. I wrote about other issues, including the outrageous laws in several states prohibiting women from serving on juries.
