Justin Olson in OnTheIssues Fact Checking

On Technology: Censorship of conservative voices is unconstitutional(?)

Big Tech's censorship of conservative voices is incredibly concerning and unconstitutional. Americans deserve to have their First Amendment rights protected and Justin is committed to working with other members of the U.S. Senate to hold Big Tech accountable.

[OTI FactCheck: since the federal government has no explicit control over Facebook and Twitter, like the federal government has no explicit control over any private-sector companies, there are no constitutional issues about what Big Tech companies choose to do about free speech. While it would be unconstitutional for the federal government to censor free speech, it isn't "unconstitutional" for Facebook and Twitter to censor whomever they like by whatever rules they like, in the same manner that FOX News and OAN can "censor" liberal voices.]
