Barbara Boxer of California, subsequently a senator, who shared that concern and took Ashley onto the House floor, where she pleaded with other Biden's daughter, Ashley, recalled often telling her father, "we have to save these dolphins. They're getting caught in these giant ocean floor-sweeping tuna nets." Her father introduced her to the then congresswoman Biden's daughter said. "I still call her the Dolphin Lady. And that was when I realized I could be a change agent." House members to do something about what she saw as an offensive act of abuse.
