Chris Christie:
If inciting an insurrection isn't impeachable, what is?
One-time Trump acolyte Chris Christie joined the growing ranks of Republicans calling for President Donald Trump to be removed from office for inciting last week's deadly insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. Christie was asked how Republicans in
Congress will react [to articles of impeachment]: "Listen, I think they're going to have to vote their conscience and look at what happened. We had an incitement to riot at the United States Capitol. We had people killed and to me, there's not a whole
lot of question here," Christie said, adding that he agreed it was an impeachable offense.Asked whether he'd vote to impeach if he were in the House,
Christie replied: "Well, if I think it's an impeachable offense that's exactly what I would do. I think if inciting to insurrection isn't [impeachable], then I don't really know what is."

Mark Sanford:
Trump not releasing returns hurts democracy's transparency
Rep. Mark Sanford is urging his party's presidential nominee to release his income-tax returns. In a New York Times op-ed, Sanford blasts Trump's "obstinacy." "Not releasing his tax returns would hurt transparency in our democratic process, and
particularly in how voters evaluate the men and women vying to be our leaders," Sanford writes. Sanford warned that the tradition of presidential nominees disclosing tax returns could be permanently "broken," and said voters deserve transparency.

Stacey Abrams:
Fair Fight Georgia helped Biden and Democratic Senate
Stacey Abrams' political future is the subject of intense speculation after she helped turn Georgia blue for President-elect Joe Biden. A gubernatorial primary will take place to unseat Republican Gov. Brian Kemp; Abrams is considered to be the presumed
frontrunner for the nomination.Since her first governor run in 2018, Abrams has since escalated her organizing and mobilizing efforts with Fair Fight, the group she founded in the aftermath of that election, and offered a strong closing pitch to
voters to "make a plan to vote early" leading up to Nov. 3.
"One of the ways we were able to flip Georgia was because I have been working on it for ten years," Abrams went on. "I know the work we did across this country through Fair Fight 2020 made
certain we had enough states that flipped back that we could work together to make certain Joe Biden became president, and now I'm focused on getting the last piece across the finish line, and that is the U.S. Senate race on January 5th in Georgia."
