Ayanna Pressley:
No compromise: no funding for border wall
Pressley and Capuano did not disagree on much substantive policy. Where they did disagree, however, was on funding President Donald Trump's long-promised wall at the
U.S.-Mexico border, which Capuano said he could support if it was tucked into a broader immigration reform package. Pressley claimed she wouldn't compromise on the issue.

Maggie Hassan:
Stop allowing Syrian refugees into the US
Hassan said that the government should stop resettling Syrian refugees in the U.S. Her spokesman, William Hinkle, told the New Hampshire Union Leader "The Governor has made clear that we must ensure robust refugee screening to protect
American citizens and the Governor believes that the federal government should halt acceptance of refugees from Syria until intelligence and defense officials can assure that the process for vetting all refugees is as strong as possible."
Hassan is challenging Republican Sen. Kelly Ayotte for her Senate seat. Ayotte's spokeswoman Liz Johnson told The Daily Beast that the senator thinks the government should stop accepting Syrian refugees for the time being.
She said that's because the Feds cannot guarantee with complete certainty that none of the refugees currently being resettled here are affiliated with ISIS.

Pete Buttigieg:
Set up program for undocumented, alert system for ICE raids
Partnering with local nonprofit organizations, Buttigieg has instituted a "Community Resident Card" program to help undocumented South Bend residents open bank accounts and fill prescriptions, led "Know Your Rights" events for residents in South Bend's
Latino-heavy West Side to prepare them in the event of federal immigration operations, and even helped create a phone tree to alert local families in the event that ICE raided the homes or businesses of city residents.

Thomas Ravenel:
Robust worker visa program, plus anything else reasonable
He does not appear to be cowed by anti-immigration activists who have blasted the Senate immigration reform bill as "Grahamnesty" because of Lindsey Graham's support for it. "These immigrants reinvigorate the American spirit," Ravenel says of those in
the country today. "That's why I love that show West Side Story, it's about the possibilities of now, that beautiful sense that something wonderful is around the corner. It's that spirit that sometimes we Americans take for granted."
Ravenel endorses a "robust worker visa program," but stops short of endorsing a path to citizenship for those in the United States already. "I am open to any ideas that sound reasonable. What's happening now is totally unreasonable and
it's bad for the economy. Saying let's control the border first and then we'll deal with immigration is like saying we can't deal with your cancer until your symptoms go away."
