On War & Peace: Remove Saddam Hussein, with US troops if needed

Durkin said he firmly supports sending US troops into Iraq. He cited signs that Saddam Hussein is actively seeking to develop weapons of mass destruction and added that the US should be prepared to act on its own. “I believe Saddam Hussein is a threat to the world. The other nations may feel intimidated by Saddam Hussein, but I don’t feel that should stop us,” Durkin said. “At the end of the day, it’s going to be the support of Congress and the American people that matters.”
