On Civil Rights: Bush calls for constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage

Bush called for a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage, saying that's the only way to protect "the most fundamental institution of civilization" from activist judges. "If we are to prevent the meaning of marriage from being changed forever, our nation must enact a constitutional amendment," Bush said.
