A big fat no to federal red flag law
As Congress and Senate try to slam through a federal red flag law in one hour I like to say big fat no yes we have a problem with some younger

Donald Trump:
Remove weapons from dangerous individuals, not all Americans
President Donald Trump dismissed retired Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens' call to repeal the Second Amendment. Stevens, 97, moved by the March for Our Lives last weekend that drew hundreds of thousands of protesters across the country calling
for action to end gun violence, penned an op-ed published in The New York Times.Trump tweeted, "THE SECOND AMENDMENT WILL NEVER BE REPEALED! As much as Democrats would like to see this happen, and despite the words yesterday of former
Supreme Court Justice Stevens, NO WAY. We need more Republicans in 2018 and must ALWAYS hold the Supreme Court!"
When asked if Trump had a reaction to Stevens' call for repeal, Trump's press secretary
said, "We think that the focus has to remain on removing weapons from dangerous individuals, not on blocking all Americans from their constitutional rights."

Why are politicians reluctant to regulate guns?
[After the Oct. 1 Las Vegas shooting in which 58 people were killed at a music festival from the 32nd floor of a nearby hotel]:
If today's headlines were "58 People Killed By Bioengineered Virus" politicians would be falling all over themselves to regulate biotech.

Will overturn assault weapons ban, there's no such thing
As Governor, I will overturn Jay Inslee's assault weapons ban. There is no such thing as an assault weapon, it's simply a term meant to scare people.
I won't allow our Second Amendment to be infringed upon in this way.

Weapons like the AR-15 have no place in our communities
These bills focus on weapons like the AR-15 that are designed to kill as many people as possible. They have no place in our communities, and
Delaware families will be safer because of these bills.

JD Vance:
Red Flag laws eliminate rights without any due process
A tweet from JD Vance: "So all of us agree that we don't want insane people to go and buy a gun and kill people. The question is how to actually accomplish that goal. Importantly, it's already a violation of federal law to sell a gun to a crazy person.
What do red flag laws do? They allow the government to eliminate peoples' rights without any due process. Say your neighbor calls the police and says you're a bad guy who's about to commit a crime? Or maybe your ex complains about you after an argument?
Now the cops can show up and remove your firearms." [Twitter, @JDVance1, 6/2/22]2018: "Vance appeared to endorse new laws to disarm those who are an imminent danger to others. 'We should make it easier to take those guns out of the hands of people
who are about to use them to murder large numbers of people. We've got to have the right balance between protecting citizens, but also protecting our really important and fundamental constitutional liberty.'" [American Journal News, 3/21/22]
