Lois Frankel in 2019 State of the Union address

On Principles & Values: Wear suffragette white as signal at State of the Union

Rep. Lois Frankel (FL-21) issued the following statement: "With a historic number of women in Congress, our nation is now represented in the House of Representatives by a diverse group who want to work for the people by lowering prescription drug costs, bringing back financial security for middle-class families, rebuilding our infrastructure, and strengthening relationships with our allies.

"Democrats wore suffragette white to signal that we're going to advance policies that provide economic security for women and families, including access to affordable health care, higher wages, pay equity, paid family and medical leave, and quality child care. I hope Mr. Trump and the Republicans join us, rather than continuing to waste time on shutdowns and an ineffective border wall."
