When it comes to the corruption--really, it's plundering America. This is the kind of corruption that shreds the fabric of a nation, and we are working on it like you wouldn't believe. So, tonight, although started four months ago, I am officially announcing the war on fraud to be led by our great Vice President, JD Vance. He'll get it done and, if we're able to find enough of that fraud, we will actually have a balanced budget overnight. It'll go very quickly. That's the kind of money you're talking about. We'll balance our budget.

And so you have to ask: Who benefits from his rhetoric, his policies, his actions, and the short list of laws he's pushed through this Republican Congress? Somebody must be benefitting. He's enriching himself, his family, his friends.
The scale of the corruption is unprecedented. There's the cover-up of the Epstein files. The crypto scams. Cozying up to foreign princes for airplanes and billionaires for ballrooms. Putting his name and face on buildings all over our nation's capital.
This is not what our founders envisioned. So, I'll ask again: Is the President working for you? We all know the answer is no.
FACT-CHECK: Trump has been claiming that noncitizens are voting en masse in American elections for more than a decade. But it's illegal for noncitizens to vote in federal races, and they have never been found to vote in anything but microscopic numbers. In the rare cases they do vote, research has found it's often due to misunderstandings about the rules, as opposed to an attempt to influence election results, as Trump often claims.
Still, since Trump took office for his second term, his government has put more resources than ever before toward trying to find these voters. They've found very little.
Trump correctly noted that not every state requires voters to show photo ID at the time they cast a ballot. But federal law already requires ID verification for all voters at registration.
Think about that for a second. The president is claiming that the opposition party is not only wrong on policy but fundamentally illegitimate, so much so that if they win an election it must be because they cheated. Taken literally, that is the president announcing that the policy of his administration is preventing the opposition from winning any future election. We're all so used to wading through Trump's sea of hyperbole that it's easy to push past a bald-faced declaration of authoritarian intent.
Every administration expands its power, setting a dangerous precedent for the next. The solution is not finding the "right" president but dismantling the unchecked authority of the office itself. A government that can impose, restrict, and direct the economy at will is not a free government, it is a centralized command structure, no different in nature from the regimes we claim to oppose abroad.
