On Jobs: Supported secret ballot when unions try to organize

Even though the US Chamber of Commerce's top priority in 2008 was to stop Democrat attempts to eliminate the secret ballot when unions try to organize a workplace, they endorsed incumbent Democrat Senator Mary Landrieu from Louisiana who opposed their position. This seat was considered the only possible "pick-up" opportunity for Senate Republicans in the 2008 elections, but the Chamber aggressively supported Landrieu's reelection.
