Maxine Waters: Push back on Trump administration at every opportunity

I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA, to leave because I work for @Potus, and I politely left. The Red Hen controversy raged on. Liberal congresswoman Maxine Waters (D_CA) said, "If you see anybody from that [administration] in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them! And you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere!"

We are allowed to disagree, but we should be able to do so freely and without fear of harm. A member of Congress called for people to "push back' and make clear to those serving their country in this administration that they are not welcome anywhere, anytime, for anything.

Healthy ideas and political philosophy is important, but the calls for harassment and push for any Trump supporter to avoid the public is unacceptable. America is a great country, and our ability to find solutions despite those disagreements is what makes us unique.

Mike Huckabee: 1996: Reached out to Dems amid AR constitutional crisis

Governor Jim Guy Tucker spent his final days [before resigning] making sure my dad knew he wasn't welcome in the state capitol. We sat in my dad's lieutenant governor office waiting to receive Tucker's resignation letter making it official. We definitely weren't prepared when Tucker--five minutes prior to his resignation--informed my dad that he had changed his mind and not officially step down after all. Tucker said that the Arkansas law stating that a convicted felon could not serve as a governor was vague, so he'd wait out a court hearing on his appeal.

My dad said, "this is unacceptable. The law is clear. I'll be taking over as governor today." He set the receiver down and an Arkansas constitutional crisis began. Two men were claiming to be governor.

My dad acted quickly. He first called on friends of Governor Tucker's in the heavily Democratic state legislature and implored them to go to Tucker and tell him to do the right thing and resign. To our surprise, many agreed.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders: Trump wasn't perfect; the only perfect role model is Jesus

I was one of the first Trump surrogates to go on air after the Access Hollywood controversy. It was a low point in the campaign, and Republican leaders were abandoning him en masse. When asked on MSNBC at the debate if the president is a good role model for my kids, I said that as a person of faith, I believe there can be only one perfect role model--Jesus.

Like every other human being on the planet, I had no illusion that Mr. Trump was a perfect person--far from it--but in a race against Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump was clearly the better choice. Even when the polls showed him down and the media and political establishment--including many Republican leaders-counted him out, I believed Trump would win. I believed his message was resonating with states like PA and MI that hadn't gone Republican in a long time. I also believed, having grown up in the Clinton's shadows in Arkansas--that a Hilary Clinton presidency might be a disaster this country may never recover from.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders: Asked to leave restaurant because she worked for Trump

I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA, to leave because I work for @Potus, and I politely left. The Red Hen controversy raged on. I opened the press briefing that day by addressing the controversy: "Good afternoon. Many by now have heard that I was asked to leave a restaurant this weekend where I attempted to have dinner with my family. My husband and I politely left and went home. I was asked to leave because I work for President Trump."
