Previous Occupation:   Worked for Tom Brown Inc., an independent energy company engaged in the domestic exploration, development, marketing & production of natural gas & crude oil, 1975-2001, rising from an oil rig crew man to president, chairman and chief executive officer. Previous Office:    Chairman of George W. Bush's presidential campaign Education:    B.S. in mechanical engineering from University of Texas; M.B.A. from University of Texas. Evans has also served in the unpaid position of chairman of the board that oversees University of Texas operations.
