Ed Rendell on Abortion

Democratic PA Governor

Protect woman’s right to decisions about her body

“My long-standing commitment [is] to preserve a woman’s right to make decisions about her body.” During Rendell’s tenure as an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia, manslaughter charges were brought against people who had botched illegal back-alley abortions in which women died. “I saw firsthand the horror that women were forced to go through. We can never go back. We must work to keep abortion safe, legal and rare,” said Rendell.
