Increased funding and set up working group against meth use
I established a meth working group to make recommendations so that the Legislature can authorize the appropriate action and funding to strike a decisive blow against the traffickers of meth, while helping those hooked on meth to break free. I
have placed in this budget 10 new public safety officers to fight the rise of meth use and distribution where the problems appear to be most acute. I have also included $2 million for meth education and treatment for a grand total of $17 million.
