Bryan Hackbarth on Immigration

I want our borders secured and I want it now!

Our border problems are serious and threaten the safety of all our citizens. Some of them can be understood better if we ask ourselves a few questions:
  1. Why doesn't the United States have a major border problem with our neighbors from the north (Canada)?
  2. Why are so many American businesses leaving the United States to move to Mexico?
I think we know some of the answers. Although Mexico has many fine businesses, the Mexican government continues to allow its people to be oppressed by not demanding that they be given livable wages.

And many American businesses, instead of trying to solve this problem, move their operations to Mexico to take advantage of the cheaper wages! Why is that?

How far do Arizonans want to go to secure the border between the US and Mexico? Will a fence do the job? Will concrete and brick wall do the job?

Is that really going to be enough if we do not address some of the real reasons for illegal immigration? I want our borders secured and I want it now!
