Don't infringe our sacred right to keep and bear arms
[In the State Legislature, Mike Flood] helped enshrine Nebraskans' right to concealed carry in state law, and now supports expanding that right through constitutional carry:"The Constitution enshrines rights granted to us not by the government,
but by our Creator. Those unalienable rights must be respected. I will oppose any attempt to infringe on Americans' fundamental liberties, including our freedoms of speech and religion and our sacred right to keep and bear arms."

Seth Magaziner:
Ban assault weapons and high capacity magazines
Seth supports banning assault weapons and high capacity magazines, the weapons of war most often used in mass shootings. As Treasurer, Seth has been working to restrict sales of "ghost guns" and divested the state's pension fund from companies that
manufacture assault weapons for non-military use. Seth will continue fighting to end gun violence with the same common sense approach that he has taken as Treasurer and work to make sure the Bipartisan Background Checks Act is signed into law.

Andy Ogles:
Second Amendment is abundantly clear
Q: What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?A: As an elected official, I took an oath to defend the Constitution. The Second Amendment is abundantly clear that "the right of the people to keep and bear
Arms, shall not be infringed." I will fight tirelessly to ensure that your constitutional rights are protected and never infringed upon.
Disarming the people is the most effective way to enslave them, and we must remain vigilant when anyone seeks to erode our civil liberties. The rights of the people to keep and bear arms, protect themselves and their families,
and prevent tyrannical rule is a fundamental liberty of our constitutional republic.

Michael Lawler:
Supports Red Flag law to keep guns away from criminals
Q: What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?A: In the NY State Assembly, I supported our state's bipartisan Red Flag law that helps keep guns out of the hands of dangerous criminals and those who would use firearms to
harm themselves or other individuals. I also supported banning ghost guns and strengthening criminal penalties for the sale, manufacturing, and use of them. I strongly support prosecuting criminals who use guns to aid in their crimes to the full extent
of the law. I believe doing a better job to ensure firearms don't fall into the wrong hands and safeguarding the rights of law-abiding citizens are not mutually exclusive.
This has been my record in Albany and will be my record in Washington.

Kevin Kiley:
We need the ability to defend ourselves
The mainstream media only covers the stories that paint gun owners and firearms in a negative light. They never cover the other side to it, and that is why it is so important to have people that love the 2nd amendment and that are willing to
stand up for it. But, at the end of the day, when you break this down at its most practical level, there's a lot of people out in these towns and cities right now that are a 3-4 minute response time away from getting any police support
if something bad were to happen… we need the ability to defend ourselves and it is that important. If we don't stand and protect
[the 2nd amendment] you're gonna continue to see more of this overreaching tyranny.

Mike Carey:
Oppose any legislation that infringes on your gun rights
It's simple. The Constitution IS absolute and the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. Strict gun regulations only make things harder for law abiding citizens. In Congress, Mike is working to protect our
2nd Amendment rights by co-sponsoring bills like the RIFLE Act. Mike Carey will always defend your right to bear arms and oppose any legislation that infringes on your rights.

Rob Menendez:
Expand background checks; ban assault weapons
In Congress, I will fight to:- Increase the scope of background checks so that Americans are no longer able to buy guns from private sellers without any safety measures in place
- Re-enact the Federal Assault Weapons Ban
- Close loopholes in gun
purchasing laws and expand the ability to take guns away from abusive dating partners, felons, and children
- Ensure that guns are not put in schools near our children
- Support Ethan's Law and any legislation that ensures safe storage of weapons.

Shontel Brown:
Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines
Requiring Universal Background Checks for gun sales. Every person purchasing a gun should undergo a background check. I will support legislation to close the Charleston Loophole and work with the Biden Administration to execute the strategies
identified in The American Plan, including calling on members of Congress to repeal the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA), which gives dealers and manufacturers immunity from liability for their products.
Banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines from our communities. We need to reinstate the assault weapons ban, ban the sale of high-capacity magazines that are often used in mass shootings,
and prohibit the selling of plastic 3D guns online. In addition, I will ban the sale of gun kits that turn semi-automatic weapons into fully automatic weapons.

Jonathan Jackson:
Can't reduce crime until we get more guns off the street
We are not going to significantly reduce crime and violence in the 1st district until we get more guns off the street. Gun tracing programs have found that Chicago leads the nation in the number of firearms police enter into the federal gun tracing
system. The gangs have the same type of weaponry that law enforcement has in automatic weapons and Congress and the Federal government must do a better job of working with local law enforcement to get the guns off the street and reduce crime.

- Require background checks for all gun sales.
- Fund and support local community violence intervention programs, and ensure congress allocates at least
$37 million to fully fund public research on gun violence.
- Fight to end the corruption of the gun lobby and dismantle the NRA, and ensure our courts enforce licensing revocation for gun dealers and manufacturers who break the law.
