Kim Reynolds: Heroes in uniform on the front lines of fight against evil

With 1,800 Iowa National Guard soldiers and airmen currently deployed overseas in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, nearly everyone in our state has a connection to someone serving, whether it's a son or daughter, a spouse or parent, a friend, neighbor, or coworker. Our heroes in uniform are on the front lines of the fight against evil. They're the tip of the spear and the center of the shield. And they've done more than we can ever repay.

Larry Rhoden: Our National Guard supported national security missions

Our National Guard also supported crucial national security missions this year. Our guardsmen served at the southern border and helped to deliver the most secure border in American history. And when President Trump committed to Make D.C. Safe and Beautiful Again, we did our part. Today, we have leadership of the South Dakota National Guard who do so much to keep America safe.
